£Ø§Ð, depends what city and state you're in makes all the difference in the ability to sell fire arms and the security levels. My friend's dad owns a pawn/gun shop that seen record sales after the US 2008 eletions. I was actually betting on the election results when I purchased a rifle, several magazines, and scope from them in Oct. Now the shop is back ordered.

@ Idle Drifter… It's Highly Unlikely that a Pawn Shop would have Metal Dectors. After all, They Sell Thing's that Have Metal in Them… And Even gun's, if ya Know where To Look.

Chances are the mugger may still have his weapon on his person. As tough as Sid is he'll be at a serious (life threatening) disadvantage should the bastard pull his piece and train it on Sid. Before I hear the Pawn Shop might have metal detectors there is the off chance the Mugger knows the store owner. Still playing with "what ifs" while looking to beat down a possibly armed and dangerous thug is not my idea of right thing to do. Personally I'd trail the bastard with the City Dispatch on the other end of my cell phone until the black and whites show up to arrest the bastard. There is a deep, broad line between self-defense and vigilantism. As much as the mugger deserves an ass beating, should Sid attack the bastard HE could be arrested and face trial along with the mugger.
