Hooch is another name for moonshine aka white lightning aka illegal booze. Often it’s not aged in oak barrels and remains a clear liquid. Good for cleaning engine parts and killing brain cells.
Rodney is -old-, and can’t spell all that well.
varmit = varmint
“Hit on all sixes” should be “Hit on all six”. Refers to all six cylinders in your car’s engine working correctly. This comic style is from waaay back during or before the Great Depression (U.S.), when most cars only had 4, or 6 cylinders and many people couldn’t afford to keep them running well. So that panel is referring to the band playing lively and well.
Our everybody’s old rodent landlord makes his appearance to try to help Liz. Who’s next? Sunni? Sylver? Or dare we say it, Phil the ninja?! Boggles the mind. LOL Althought Phil might have some pretty interesting ideas for a funny comic. Seriously with all that happens you think Liz would just turn to real life.
I’m looking forward to what Inix comes up with. I’m sure it will be all dark and mystical and serious, then when the punch line hits nobody will get it. XD
Hitting on all sixes is not a reference to music. It means to “kick it into high gear” or “give 100%”. It’s short for “Hitting on all six cylinders” as in a car engine.
I wouldn’t have thought that six cylander engines were around at that point. The timing would seem to be precise enough to require more advanced engineering; but I will differ to you on this.
Haha Poor ol Liz!! Classic sounds good!!^^
I laughed so damn hard… oh my god
That’s hilarious, the classics look more like an acid trip! And might I ask what the heck’s hooch??
An alcoholic drink which is no longer made anymore. Ever heard of Bacardi Breezer? Hooch is kinda like that.

lol, i think booze
Yes hooch is booze. Only ones i didn’t get all the terms on were 3 and 5.
Neither did I, too many obscure references for me since I’m not american…
I highly recommend Urban Dictionary for most purposes!

Though most of this here beats me still, nyah…. I blame it on the incoherent randomness of this all! ;3

I’m amused at the fact that everything has a face. Even the washtub. Why is there a dead fish? Lovely!
Haha, kickin’ it old school, rubber hose style.

I am so confused.

I dare say, this comic is snazzy! The bucket-guitar with the smile is a nice touch. Picking and grinning, ha!
But I’m somewhat flipped that the goat hadn’t gotten juiced by the end of it.
Poor liz indeed.
The classics are dead. However, i’m sure she’s gonna end up with something of pure gold. Keep it up…XD
Next will be Rex, I assume? Probably some dirty dirty story with Rex and Sid >:). Can’t wait till monday

Good grief! It’s like Super Mario World…
poor liz….
I hope phil’s comic will be filled with anime school girls!
Hitting on the sixes would be a reference to music. A 6/8 time is commonly used for jigs and sailing shanties.
Also, classics FTW.
DOH! (…I know nothing about moosik)

gotta love the classics. sometimes the past beats the present. for example, i still have a gameboy and a super nintendo, and i refuse to buy a ps3.
your loss.

*blink blink*
Liiiiz? Have you been buying coffee again from those shady Mexican guys?
Lol I had to check the date to make sure it wasn’t april 1st, it’s just so random, this. XD
Mook : a playable race in Wizardry 8
Man I bet this was a fun one to draw. ^^
LOL steamboat wut?
I laughed so hard. XD
reminds me of the old disney-cartoons… but I dont get any of the jokes…
i swear some of that looks familiar… and that is very disturbing considering im not even near my 30s. O.=.o
Well, they do look similar to the “Warner Bros” from Animaniacs, and they used to play Merrie Melodies on Nickelodeon.
Perfect for my report on 1920’s slang, and perfect timing too! Oh I could kiss every single person in here!
by the way, I counted 40 faces
Try the old Fleischer cartoons, with Betty Boop and Koko the clown.
Trippy!
Broken Plot Device, now with 40% more broken.
I count 40 or 41 depending on if you count Liz in the last panel (Her face is covered)
